Do chickens need sun?
I am thinking about getting chickens and i found the perfect spot in my backyard for a coop, and a chicken run, but it’s a little shady! Trees hang over it and some sunlight peaks through trees. DO chickens need the sun to get essential vitamins like we get vitamin D from the sun? So in this case would I be alright to place the coop there or would i need to find a new spot?

Yeah, chickens need sunlight to gain Vitamin D from it, but be careful not to have the chickens in direct sunlight, otherwise it may do them more harm than good. Building the right style of chicken coop is the key, if you ask me

What is the best treatment for mites/lice on chickens?
I just found out that my little flock of Silkies has mites/lice. They are little yellow crawling bugs, and two of my hens are getting pretty ill from it. They have had this last fall and I sprayed them with mite killer and gave them bathes, and cleaned the coop and sprayed that down too. Now they are back.
What is the best brand/way/technique to get rid of these things?
Could they be getting them from the mice? Or the crows?
How do I get rid of the mice in my coop, without hurting the chickens or my my barn cat, and using NO poison or sticky traps.

How much min. I should fence in the area for 25 chickens?
25 I buy baby chickens and conversion of a 5×7 meter wooden in a chicken coop shedding. Any tips on how to build a collaboration would also be appreciated. My dad used to have chickens, so I remember many things about its operation, but will appreciate a consultation!

I think about a foot of straw or wood shavings on the floor of my pen. It takes all the crap, and with the constant scratching and manure is rich black soil in a few months. I am assuming that the composting material produced many insects and worms, but I never see one because they eat the chickens.

How to make a chicken coop? Help?
Ok im so 12 and my sister is 10 and we want to build a chicken coop. Of course, with the help from our father. Remember, we do not have much money. Is there an inexpensive way to make one? What materials need to wee? There are no predators except perhaps to a coyote would be rare. Oh maybe a rattlesnake. I have a lot of searching on the Web so i dont need to tell me to do done. i just want to i cheap construction, or you know someone else has.
Just buy some wood and chicken wire. Look on craigslist for cooperatives for sale. Look on YouTube. I try to convince my father to build a chicken coop. Good Luck.

Hey there, while a chicken coop, you need to make some important decisions. First, how many birds do you have? Hen houses in various sizes and are specifically designed for certain number of birds. A rule is generally that you should at least provide 4 square feet per animal LEAST agreed! more is always better, but so much needs to be provided for the birds to move freely. How to make a good henhouse?
We have chickens and are very inexperienced. My brother is a collaboration of wooden pallets, but I'm not sure it will work. What are some building materials have to work together to make, and how great it must be? It is also something to be put into it, such as radiators and nesting boxes (including needs, duh) or does it need to have two floors or something. Thank you!

Okay … I know you can store them by Chen and upgrade your house and I have done 2x, and I already ask Gannon to build me the barn, chicken coop and greenhouse, and I even upgrade them and my Stable. I've searched FAQs and walkthroughs for them but not give me much information just say you upgrade your house 2x go to Chen's shop and that the site where can you buy the items to get married. So, you have your Home modernized twice to go, now Chen talk in his shop with him, he will welcome you in his shop and he is everything he has including list the husband / wife bed, tool box, beauty box, refrigerator and kitchen.
