My friend and I are trying to build a chicken coop, I have about 90 chickens, and they have really nice Stables, but we want to build our own for our own chicken … no easy / cheap plans?
I suggest to BYC and a Google search for cooperatives, henhouse, etc. Find what you like and draw your own plans. Do not be afraid to be creative.

Totally! That is what I am now with my two rescue chickens. I'm not sure what you look like. Mine is a basic grid box on wooden legs. At one end it has a wooden crate. I know I did nothing special except a piece of sheet metal over the top. I use a chick waterer and a single cut-off Buckets wired to the side for food.

Since Molly's cousins 'visit' back a few months came, I was thinking about as they leave the house. So I took to make a beautiful house boat on the pond out back. It's pretty nice. From vintage wood from the old chicken coop that the skunks took over made. I have two beautiful windows that I left the auto wrecker, and a door which I found to fill in the country. Hey there, while a chicken coop, you need to make some important decisions. First, how many birds do you have? Hen houses in various sizes and are specifically designed for certain number of birds. A rule is generally that you should at least provide 4 square feet per animal LEAST agreed! more is always better, but so much needs to be provided for the birds to move freely. How to decide for materials, you really need, what kind of cooperation desired. If you like 2 or 4 birds all it takes is a chicken tractor from about 16 to 20 square meters and everything you need for making one, is a little wooden and wire mesh. The wheels are also a good complement, because you can move a tractor around your garden. If you have more than 6 birds you rather have for a medium or to pay large Coop with 30 to 40 square meters. except for the production of a need wire mesh, plywood, poultry feeders, and of wood and straw mesh. Also remember, as they do chicken inside for a long time, you have sawdust or sand as limited as chicken remain under sand baths. Another important point is insulating your coop.
