Can I (should I) to build an enclosure around an existing chicken's nest in my garden?
There are about a dozen eggs under a hen in a bush in my Backyard. I'm pretty sure the eggs hatch, as we recently completed a successful hen's nest in our front yard. The front garden chicken left before I put them in a Could bring stable. I will keep backyard chickens and hens, and I am enclosing the area around the nest hatch after the chicks in wire mesh and planning. At this point I'm going to a coop that we transfer to the building. Most importantly, I'm risking the lives of either chicken or eggs, by the area (Approx. 36 sqm) in wire mesh? In addition, there is any tips on what needs the chicken once I have it fenced from the rest of the world (shade, temperature, food, Water, other)? Any help with this would be appreciated, I'm not able to find much information about it elsewhere in the Internet.
If the hen is sitting on the eggs, they will only leave the nest about once per day for a few minutes to eat and get water. If you fence it will be good in it as long as you sure that water and food are available. You can add a little pile of chick starter or a gardener or scrape on her so that she has become accustomed bring food to your visit everyday. Once they start hatching, they will sit for about 24 hours to hatch from the eggs at all a chance. Then you will able to move them into your cooperation. If you want to find out how to take care of some of the hatchery's website (McMurray from there to, Meyers, etc.) or you can get great books from one of the major bookstores.

Chicken has been sitting together in their for 3 days now, no egg?
My family has two chickens in a cage with a small house like Coop. (NO Hahn) One of the chickens out of their nest box has been sitting in for 3 days now? The other hen has to lay their eggs on the ground, I know they have a period with they breed on their eggs, but why should she sit brooding fertalized without egg? Question 2 How long does it take to hatch an egg fertalized?
You could go "dry", which means they could stop a total, depending on their age. It could also change the season. If you eat last time, it might have to do. Anyway, I recommend a high protein content (20-24%) to feed. You might consider a light in their coop. This should help if they believe the days are longer. As far as breed an unfertilized egg, which sometimes happens. Many animals do that (false pregnancies and so), with or without a male. It usually takes about 3 weeks to hatch an egg.

Need help with farm animals?
I want some pigs.So questions to answer this please, if you can, 1.What is and how much can I feed? 2.Can I freely let them run around in my garden, or do I have to pin them? 3.If I pin them, how can I build a pig pen? 4.Do they need worming, vaccinations and pesticide treatments? How often do they need? 5.Any particular grooming needs to keep it clean and healthy? 6.Is a huge mud hole absolutely necessary? 7.How young I should buy them when I want them to become tame? I want to get some ducks, chickens, geese and turkeys. 1.How you want to take care these birds? 2.How can I share my yard predator, so I can birds migrate? 3.Are there any breeds of ducks and geese do not fly? 4.Where I buy pens for them to sleep at night? Do they have to sleep in stables at night?
This place is a good start to the breeding of pigs. 1.http: / / www.goodbyecitylife.com / barn / pigs.htm second Do not let pigs roam free, they often run away and is the No. 1 cause of feral pigs in the United States. Boars destroy vegetation, are dangerous, and pests. 3. You need a very robust type of wire fencing for pigs or sheep may Fences root and slip slates. They must be regularly fences often to make sure they are not testing the strength and find weakness. Pigs are very intellegent. 4. Yes, they need it and your veterinarian can tell you a good schedule, it will stop. Give them a call now an idea of what it cost for each pig and get as many. Especially if you move them into a large enclosure, they are subject takes to get out of the ground. 5. They are sensitive to direct sunlight, they need to stay hydrated and need a good brushing every so often. 6. No it is not when they are cool, keep moist and out of the sun, they do not need it but usually make you any cause their main goal is digging in the dirt. This behavior is of course a mud hole in wet weather and they will make a wallow if you do not have to keep them from the sun enough. Mud is a natural sun protection. 7. Weaned. Birds first You need to research birds. They are relatively simple, Training and asks if you want something to do the bird handlers. This sight will review with you a few other sites, http://www.poultryhelp.com/link-poultry.html second You cannot, Predators of birds from all spectrum of wildlife come. Dogs, cats, weasels, foxes, raccoons, birds of prey. They are all on predatory birds. The best thing is have some good sized male geese in order to scare away certain animals, but they're still at risk. Just be vigilant and have a place for them Protection in the night that's for sure. 3. All ducks and geese fly need to clip there feathers to them grounded. 4. Not necessarily stables, but at least a safe sleep shed with boxes and / or cleaning floors. It's not a good idea ot fill all the different types of birds together. I would be 2 or 3 separate scales and some of the species. Geese are usually very dominant and aggressive. Even the Turkey.

I have some questions about burning down an old chicken coop work hydrant in it with?
The hydrant is frost-free style and the water line, the no shut-offs and two other hydrants. This is the neighbors, and they want to be able to use fire hydrants for their garden, after the old building is gone. Is there any way to the hydrant at the fire, protect, or do they dig up the line and put a check valve in the hydrant and tear prior to firing the old building? It's not really a place to burn the building to a pile of push somewhere else, and it is full of the previous owners junk. Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated. Thank you!
You will probably burn the packing from around the stem. The water keeps leaking from the top when it made it up. The fire will burn the dynamic of the pipe and then it will certainly rust. I would look at stacks of concrete blocks around in a square and fill the center with the ground. This will insulate well enough to avoid damage.

Chicken Coop / nest box?
I started chickens. I have long Coop built for her feet, is three meters high, four feet wide and eight. About how many chickens to keep? The nest boxes are built as I set foot high, a foot long and one foot wide and four inches. If the large enough?
Q It's kind of tiny. For every chicken you have, you should coop at least two square feet figure. Also, you only built a 3 m high coop? How to get into the cleaning? lol. I think you should probably expand on your Coop, and the nesting boxes are not very large with. You may want to consider a few pages or as http://www.raisingbackyardchickens.org http://www.chickenraisingsecrets.com for some tips.

My neighbor has in recent years, "built a bit of a" court, as I do in court, he has cows and Pigs bound old cars and the trees, rabbits and chickens in the wild, and about a hundred or so rabbits in "houses" which, like a blind Male from build to look of old wood. It seems the animals are treated, rather inhuman and kill them in his driveway, but my biggest problem with this rag tag Attempt at a farm is the smell it leaves from, im not sure what he to do with excrement, but I can barely stand to be outdoors because of the terrible smell, I have something to get done about it, the legal way … Does anyone know of odor laws Nys or who I was able to speak, or that I could do,

It is true that a lot of people keep chickens for their business purposes, there are also some who devote their time, money and effort because it's basically a hobby. It's always nice to wake up in the morning and have fresh eggs waiting for you. Hens have the right amount of heat inside the coop, so you maximize egg Laying. One way an assurance that your chickens are year-round warm, a chicken coop by heating. I visited many forums and people can apparently disagree on whether it is necessary or not. Well, I think if you are tired of dealing with frozen eggs and frozen water dishes then a heater is for you but if you're in an area where there is always hot (like, where I live), then live the common sense that you do not need their own.
Some owners have Problems in more and more eggs during the winter. The truth is your chickens to lay more in the winter and live longer if you can provide the right heating element and I 'm talking about a chicken coop heater. If you have a small Coop, you may want to purchase a flat screen coop consider heating. If your main problem is the freezing of eggs is then opt for a small poultry nest box heating. It was simply that the nest box or the right, where the chickens sleep.
When housing are a huge number of chickens, you have a large chicken house heating, and to get or this could mean that you go out on a combination Lamps and flat panel heaters or other items that keep the chickens warm and cozy is not to mention water must be thawed. How does a flat screen Heating work? It radiates heat throughout the building and there will always be defrosted water. Do not worry, because it's not so expensive and the good news is it only 400 watts Performance and it has the ability to radiate much heat.
