chicken coop requirements
What are the requirements for a chicken coop?

I'm building and I would like a list of direction.

a protected Place for them to sleep at night and to lay. a fenced in area for them to go in the daytime (should be attached to the covered area) the fenced Area should either chicken wire or high enough to cover not fly for them two. if you do not have dogs or get worried not about them attacked you do not need a fenced in area just put it in the night and left them in the morning. hope this helped!

I have 6 chicks in a large box with wood chips, a small investor and a small drink. They have a brooder heat on them seem to buld and well. They will not be used as a slotter. I own the decision of the Agriculture eggs. Either way, I was curious if there's something important I need to know. They are really fun to see, and my kids love them. I would be upset if something happened to them. so I just wonder if there are any tips on how you care for baby chickens. they are not all the same race. they are all different. half of them spring lightly. i live in Nevada. I have had chickens before, but I've never had to raise themselves. I have a chicken coop on my property. I wonder if I they transfer out of the box in the cage. If you have any tips for the care of the baby have chicken, I would know she likes. Thanks

Pet chickens average lifespan is about 15 years. but chicken out door must have at least a portion of the day. love to scratch in dirt and take dust baths, eat tender new shoots (remember that some houseplants can be toxic), and was lying in the sun. if you want more baby chickens, a rooster dont get a companion for youre hens. some were everyday, while others have only a few months of the year. Note Stroe much cost only a few dollars for the purchase of food needed chickens. Raising a chick is easy and fun. the Meean that they are able to walk and for their own eat soon after hatching. tiny chicks need a heat source, a clean environment, food and water. You can invest in a chick breeder or build youre own a larger aquarium glass or wood oor board, a screened – Clip on lamp and some screening or towels for a cover. the box should be about 24 centimeters long and 18 cm wide and about 12 to 18 cm tall. This is large enough for up to 6 small chicken. Clip the light on the edge and position it so it is about 4''über the floor. Line the box with newspaper and fill with about 1 inch of wood chips or sawdust, although paper towels daily as well and are easy to change. check the temperate can under the lamp, it should be quite warm to your hand. but not hot -90 degrees F is right. some growers prefer to use red light bulbs to stress, to minimize the night. the chicks are sitting under the lamp to stay warm and willl move from under them drink and eat. Use a shallow pan with water – no more deep as 1 / 2 inches. Add small stones rocks poured into the water, so the chicks cannot drop and wet or drown. The food and water at least twice day. the chicks will beep loudly when it cold or hungery and claimed little chirping make noises when happy. Cup youre hand over the child, as you sit quietly feed with little pieces of corn, berries, small live mealworms and other treats from the hand, while his name and said in a very small time chick youre voice associate with food. Comfort and come every time you call. at least 4-5 weeks old to go outside the Babbies care. ASND at about 8 weeks should be old enough to not need no more the lamp. about 5 months, the chickens stay in the outside pen overnight. If you plan to have it out there Sleep, you start it in the carrier in the night at about 2-3 months old.

Chicken Coop / nest box?

I started chickens. I have long Coop built for her feet, is three meters high, four feet wide and eight. About how many chickens to keep? The nest boxes are built as I set foot high, a foot long and one foot wide and four inches. If the large enough?

Q It's kind of tiny. For every chicken you have, you should coop at least two square feet figure. Also, you only built a 3 m high coop? How to get into the cleaning? lol. I think you should probably expand on your Coop, and the nesting boxes are not very large with. You may want to consider a few pages or as http://www.raisingbackyardchickens.org http://www.chickenraisingsecrets.com for some tips.
