sonoma chicken coop restaurant san jose ca
I attended the Key West Shrimp House for dinner 29th July 2009. First impression: "Cozy, quaint and comfortable. The restaurant was very busy so I do not as to make the images from the inside. It looked and sounded like a lot of tourists and / or visitors from out-of-state residents may Riverboat Inn, that on the hill is located above the Key West Shrimp House. I noticed plates from Ohio, Kentucky and Idaho, and heard a man from the table next to me and said: "She took from this place Was the Internet. "I help to drop?" No, he spoke so loud, I could hear every word. He also said: "The doctor tells me I need at least eight glasses Drinking water per day. "" I do not know is how I do it. "
I ordered Shrimp-In-A-Net for $ 12.99. The meal consisted of a trip the salad bar, French fries or rice (I have french fries) and a bowl full of fat, juicy shrimp. The waitress brought shrimp in a net wound and poured them into the bowl it delivered to my table. I said, "they are alive." I forgot to ask "why" to this To serve manner. The sauce was a little on the hot side, but not too hot that I could not endure, and the shrimp were very good, large pieces of Shrimp ten pieces in total, I think.
From the salad bar, I opted for bean salad, coleslaw, potato salad and a field. There were also fixtures regular salad of tomatoes, lettuce and the usual things in a salad bar.
I was like no, and as if a tourist, as out-of-State too. I was very relaxed and as I munched on french fries and shrimp. I had to peel the shrimp to the outside world. I have never fried something. My Drink was water with lemon (always save a few bucks and make a very good lemon drink with added sweetener).
My impression of the kitchen: Excellent. There I will eat again, and especially when I ask good shrimp. I will try something else next time from the menu.
My impression of the service: Excellent. It requires no reservation. The restaurant was busy, but fairly large, so I did not wait for a table. Everyone was friendly and polite.
There is a small entrance, where they wait to be seated. While it is sitting, I went through the main dining room, which was longer than wide (much as the shotgun-style houses, but wider). In this dining room were the toilets and the salad bar. The next room was a bar with stools, where I suppose you could sit and have a drink or drinks. There were several different sized tables set up in this area. I sat at the window. A few steps up to another dining room with windows all around.
The Key West Shrimp House is a family business, family and business. It is at 117 Ferry Street. The menu was a great variety of fish and seafood, and steaks and chicken. Their specialty is shrimp. The restaurant has a beautiful view over the Ohio River from the very important back dining room, where there are windows on three sides of the room.
The building's history goes back to built in the late 1800s, as Madison's a lot of old buildings. It was the button factory where shells were made mother brought the river and pearl buttons were punched out the shells. The owners of Key West Shrimp House said to have been no changes in the basic original Structure has been made. The lower level looks very much like the construction of ancient Roman walls of pre-Christian times.
If you like camping out than stay in motels, Hotels or bed and breakfast suite, you can camp just across the street from the Key West Shrimp House and on the banks of the Ohio River. After dinner I took a few pictures of the area of the restaurant.
From the looks of the wine list, they serve wine from near and far. The list included (this is) by no means complete list:
 • White: Mystique, Madison Vineyards is a sweet white wine made from grapes grown out of their homes, Chardonnay, Chateau St. Jean (Sonoma Valley, California); Goldtröpfchen Piesporter Spätlese, Leonard Kreusch, Germany is light and fruity, with floral aromas.
 • Red wine: Beaujolais-Villages, Louis Jadot (Beaune, Cote d'Or, France) is light and fruity, Cabernet Sauvignon, Black Opal (Australia) is rich and smooth with the depth of fruit and oak with a soft finish tannish.
 • Rosé
 • Sparkling Wines
They had seven different varieties of beer on the menu twenty-seven and mixed drinks. As mentioned earlier, I drink water. I drove, and I do not drink and drive, not even a glass of wine.
Final impression: This is a great place to eat, and especially if you like shrimp!
